Urban agriculture business program may become next Kalamazoo Valley Community College project

The community college has only announced the seed plans for the urban agriculture business program and will be celebrating National Food Day with a free screening of Detroit documentary “Urban Roots” on Oct.

The college envisions a “health living based” Food and Culinary Institute that would work closely with a year-round, high-tech, urban agriculture business. The main goal of launching the programs is to establish sustainable health and wellness and workforce opportunities inKalamazoo.
